Winston Chin, MBA FICB AMP ADM.A

Winston Chin is an MBA graduate from the Université du Québec à Montréal. Mr. Chin has a Fellow from the Institute of Canadian Bankers (FICB), as well as a certified Professional Administrator (ADM.A) and holds an (AMP) Accredited Mortgage Professional designation. He was a board member for Centraide greater Montreal, a member of the advisory committee on philanthropy and a member of CanWest’s Global CH Montreal Television’s Advisory Board. Enormously involved with the Chinese community, he chaired the executive board committees of the Montreal Chinese Family Services, SINO Québec as well as the city of Montreal’s Chinese Garden. He was President of the executive committee for the Réseau ÉSG UQÀM and is currently a board member of the Chambre de la Sécurité Financière and the Montreal Chinese Hospital Foundation; Mr. Chin has also served as a consultant for community related issues for the Montreal Police advisory committee. He has given lectures on both leadership and public relations and has been a consultant for both public and non public companies on various issues regarding China. Mr. Chin is particularly concerned with cultural and social-economic integration, especially with the under privileged. He speaks (4) four languages including English, French, Chinese and Italian.
Mr. Chin has been with the National Bank of Canada since 1990, occupying various roles. He is currently Vice-President Sales, Advisor Distribution at the National Bank of Canada. He oversees the entire sales force across Canada for the distribution of its key lending products through third party distribution with its key partnership agreements. He was one of the pioneers behind the creation of Partnership Banking. Previously, Mr. Chin was Senior Manager Asian Private Banking and Advisory Services for retail banking. Prior to joining the National Bank, he was President and CEO of Groupe SSI and a consultant for Business Depot a division of Staples USA. He is also a Managing Director of Winston Realties, a luxury real estate firm.
